The defending Professional Arena Soccer League North American Champion San Diego Sockers signed midfielder Majell Aterado to a one-year contract Wednesday.
Aterado spent the last two seasons in the league with the California Cougars, the 2009 North American Champion, where he scored 16 goals and 17 assists, including ten goals in ten games last season.
He was originally selected with the 121st pick in the 2007 Major Indoor Soccer League's Supplemental Draft by the then-Cougars.
