Revolution Sign 15-Year-Old As First Homegrown Player

Major League Soccer's New England Revolution announced the signing Tuesday of 15-year-old midfielder/forward Diego Fagundez as their first Homegrown Player.

A native of Uruguay, Fagundez played on New England's U-16 team in the 2009-10 season and is the team's first youth academy player to sign with the main roster.

He earned a spot on the US Soccer Federation Development Academy National Starting XI in 2010 after scoring 20 goals on the U-16 team.
