Kosuke Kimura scored the game's only goal unassisted in the 42nd minute as the Colorado Rapids shut out the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO to become Major League Soccer's 2010 Eastern Conference champion.
The Rapids will now face the winner of Sunday's Western Conference Championship between the Los Angeles Galaxy and FC Dallas for the league championship at MLS Cup 2010 next Sunday at BMO Field in Toronto.
