Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders announced Monday forward Nate Jaqua and goalkeeper Terry Boss underwent recent surgical procuedures but both have plans to return to the team for the 2011 season.
On Friday in Vail, CO, Jaqua, an original member of the Sounders franchise, underwent arthroscopic hip surgery and will be out for the next 12 to 16 weeks.
After coming back to the team in late June following missing the first 14 games of the season with a lower abdominal injury, he scored six goals and six assists in all competitions and was named the 2010 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Player of the Tournament for scoring five goals in four games.
Boss underwent reconstructive toe surgery in Seattle last Thursday. He started four matches in the LHUSOC and the CONCACAF Champions League tournament.
