Midfielder Daniel Hernandez, who has played with an injured right knee for FC Dallas since before the second leg of their 2010 Major League Soccer Western Conference semifinal series with 2009 champion Real Salt Lake, will have an MRI done on it Tuesday to determine what kind of surgery the injury will require, the team announced Monday.
Depending on the extent of the injury, rehab time after surgery could be anywhere from six weeks to five months.
Dallas also announced Monday defender George John, whose inadvertant own goal in the 107th minute, ended the Hoops' chances of defeating the eventual champion Colorado Rapids at Sunday's MLS Cup final at BMO Field in Toronto, and midfielder Atiba Harris, will have off-season surgery to repair injured ankles.
