FC Tampa Bay Picks Up Four Options, Dump Three Others; More Decisions To Come

FC Tampa Bay of the North American Soccer League announced Tuesday they have chosen to pick up the 2011 season options on forward Aaron King and midfielders Mozzi Gyorio, Long Tan and Jonny Steele.

King was the team's leading goal scorer and third in the USSF Division 2 Pro League in that category with 12. He started 12 of 28 games last season.

Gyorio started nine of 18 games he played in and had two goals and two assists in his debut season as a pro.

Tan was fourth in scoring on the team with 18 points on three goals and two assists and played in 25 of the the team's 30 regular season games.

Steele, acquired in a trade with the Vancouver Whitecaps in July, started nine of ten matches and finished the season with a goal and three assists.

FC Tampa Bay also announced they will not pick up the options on the contracts of defenders Gordon Kljestan and Joe Donoho, and midfielder Kwame Adjeman-Pemboe, but have not yet made a decision on picking up options on defender Graham Tatters and midfielder Stanley Nyazamba.

The team is still negotiating with Ricardo Sanchez on a new long-term deal after they did not pick up his 2011 option.
