FC Dallas midfielder Daniel Hernandez will be out four to six weeks for the Major League Soccer franchise after having surgery Tuesday to repair part of the lateral meniscus in his right knee.
Hernandez suffered the injury in the first leg of their two-game Western Conference semifinal series with Real Salt Lake, but led the team to the Western Conference Championship over the Los Angeles Galaxy and to an appearance in the 2010 MLS Cup in Toronto, where they lost to the Colorado Rapids, thanks to an own goal by Collins John.
