The Carolina Dynamo of the USL Premier Development League announced Wednesday head coach and team vice president Joe Brown is leaving the franchise to pursue other interests.
Brown currently serves as the CEO and president of US Futbol Training in Delaware.
He was inducted into the USL Hall of Fame in 2002, the same season he was named Executive of the Year in the predecessor to the PDL, the D-3 Pro League.
In 11 seasons with the Dynamo, Brown became the team's all-time wins leader with 116 to go with 61 losses and 14 draws. Carolina won league championships in 2003 and 2006 and, subsequently, was named the league's Coach of the Year both times.
Before coaching Carolina, he led the Delaware Wizards of the D-3 Pro League to a 49-37-11 record.
