Blast Move Into Tie For MISL Lead After Edging Vipers In Omaha

Pat Healey had the game's only three-point goal as the Baltimore Blast edged the Omaha Vipers 15-10 Sunday in Major Indoor Soccer League play at the Omaha Civic Center.

Machel Millwood added a penalty kick goal and assisted on Carlos Garcia's two-pointer and Lucio Gonzaga and Zach Wilkes each added two-pointers as Baltimore improved to a first place tie in the league standings with the defending regular season champion Milwaukee Wave at 2-0.

Ricardo Cavalcante posted a pair of two-point goals for the 1-2 Vipers, with Aurinei Parisotto having a power play goal and Shaun David and Pat Morris adding two-point goals.

The Blast next host the Missouri Comets December 11 at First Mariner Atena, while the Vipers host the Wave this Thursday, then the expansion Chicago Riot December 10.
