Six days shy of his 18th birthday, forward Juan Agudelo of Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls became the youngest player to ever score a goal for the US Men's National Team in the modern era as the team defeated South Africa 1-0 Wednesday to win the Nelson Mandela Challenge in Cape Town.
Agudelo's goal came in the 85th minute off Mikkel Diskerud and allowed the US to finish the 2010 season with a record of 5-4-5.
