Scoreless Draw Extends RSL's Unbeaten Streak To A Dozen Games

Defending Major League Soccer champion Real Salt Lake extended their unbeaten streak to 12 games as they faced the New York Red Bulls to a scoreless draw Saturday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

RSL, who is in second place in the Western Conference standings at 14-4-10 with 52 points and are five points behind the Los Angeles Galaxy to take the Supporters Shield crown for the 2010 season away from them, hosts FC Dallas, who is under a league-record, single-season 19-game winning streak, next Saturday, then closes their season October 23 at the Colorado Rapids.

RSL has lost only once in their last 23 games this season.

The Red Bulls, leaders of the Eastern Conference at 14-8-6 with 48 points, are three points ahead of the Columbus Crew (13-8-7, 46) in the standings and travel to the Philadelphia Union next Saturday before closing out the 2010 regular season October 21 by hosting the New England Revolution.
