Pride Extends Unbeaten Streak To 11 Games With Draw To Defending WPS Champs

Becky Edwards scored in second half stoppage time off a Camile Abily assist as the 2010 Women's Professional Soccer regular season champion FC Gold Pride extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games, despite playing to a 1-1 draw to the defending league champion Sky Blue FC Wednesday at Yurcak Field on the campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ.

Tasha Kai put Sky Blue on top in the 77th minute off a Heather O'Reilly assist after both teams played to a scoreless first half.

The Pride, 14-3-5 with 47 points, will host the Boston Breakers this Sunday.

Sky Blue, 7-10-5 with 26 points and in fifth place in the league standings, but three points behind the Washington Freedom (7-8-7, 28 points) for sole possession of the fourth and final playoff spot, will travel to the last-place Atlanta Beat Sunday.
