The Vancouver Whitecaps of the USSF Division 2 Pro League and soon-to-be Major League Soccer expansion franchise announced the signings Wednesday of forward Cody Arnoux and defender Willis Forko.
Arnoux last scored two goals in seven games with the reserve team of Everton in the English Premier League.
At Wake Forest University, he had 33 goals in 64 career games, including 17 of them in his junior year, when he was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference First Team and was a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, given annually to the best male and female college soccer players.
He also played three seasons for the Carolina Dynamo in the USL Premier Development League and scored 13 goals over 16 games.
Forko was re-signed to the Whitecaps after playing one month in 2008 before being transferred to FK Boda/Glimt of the Tippeligaen, the top soccer league in Norway, where he assisted on three goals in 60 career games.
Before joining the Whitecaps, he played two seasons in MLS for the current league champion, Real Salt Lake.
The 14th overall pick in the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft, Forko played his freshman season of college soccer at South Carolina before transferring to Connecticut for the remaining three seasons.
In 85 appearances between both schools, he had three goals and 15 assists.
Born in Monrovia, Liberia, his family moved to Houston when he was seven years old, but also holds a spot in his country's national team player pool.
