USMNT Announces Exhibition Game Against Colombia October 12 At PPL Park

As expected, the US Men's National Team will play Colombia in an exhibition game October 12 at PPL Park in Chester, PA, home to the expansion Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer, US Soccer announced Monday.

The game will take place three days before the US hosts Poland in another friendly at Chicago's Soldier Field and will be the second game the team has played in the Philadelphia area, having defeated Turkey 3-2 May 29 at Lincoln Financial Field, home to the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles.

It will be the first time the US and Colombia have played each other since the 2007 Copa America tournament, where Colombia won 1-0.

The USMNT is 3-9-3 all-time against the South American nation.

In the 1994 FIFA World Cup, the US defeated Colombia 2-1 to advance to the knockout stage of the competition.

Colombia did not qualify for the recent 2010 FIFA World Cup.
