Major League Soccer's expansion franchise, the Philadelphia Union, announced Friday they will host Chivas de Guadalajara of the Mexican Primera Division in an exhibition game September 1 at PPL Park in Chester, PA.
Guadalajara is the parent club of MLS franchise Chivas USA and are currently playing in the finals of the 2010 Copa Libertadores against Internacional of Brzail. Guadalajara lost the first game of the two-leg championship series 2-1 at home Wednesday and now heads to Porto Alegre, Brazil for the second leg this Wednesday.
The game will feature forward Omar Bravo for Chivas, who signed a contract to join MLS' Kansas City Wizards as a Designated Player for the 2011 season.
