Andrew Hoxie had a pair of goals and Troy Roberts added a third as the USSF Division 2 Pro League and USL Conference-leading Rochester Rhinos extended their winning streak to five games with a 3-1 victory over the Miami FC Blues at Marina Auto Stadium before a season-high crowd of 9,157.
The Rhinos celebrated the history of the Rochester Lancers franchise, who will return to professional soccer next season in the USL Indoor Professional Soccer League, or I-League, by wearing Lancers jerseys.
Rochester is at 14-5-6 with 48 points and travels to Saputo Stadium in Montreal to face the Montreal Impact this Friday.
Miami, the worst team in the league and the NASL Conference at 3-10-11 with 20 points, got their lone goal from Danilo Martins in the 50th minute, but suffered their 12th straight loss. They are now off until September 5 when they face AC St. Louis at the Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park in Fenton, MO.
