For the second straight season, Colorado Rapids midfielder Colin Clark announced Friday he is out for the rest of the 2010 Major League Soccer season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, this time doing so in the 55th minute of a 1-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes last Saturday.
He started nine of 16 games this season for the Rapids and will undergo surgery on the injury Monday.
Clark injured the same knee in the same way August 3, 2009 during a training session, had surgery eight days later it happened, and missed the final 10 games of the regular season.
