Organizers of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament announced the possible dates and locations Thursday for the 2010 Championship Game, depending on the outcome of semifinal games to be played September 1.
In the all-Major League Soccer semifinals, the Columbus Crew will travel to RFK Stadium to play DC United and the defending tournament champion Seattle Sounders host Chivas USA, the only team of the four never to win the event, at Qwest Field.
Should Seattle win, no matter who wins the other semifinal, that winner will travel to Qwest Field for the title game October 5.
If the final match becomes Chivas versus United, DC will host the game October 6, but if it's Columbus versus Chivas, it will take place at The Home Depot Center, home to Chivas, October 12.
