Pair Of Quick Goals Lead Baltimore Over Carolina

Crystal Palace Baltimore saw Tsuyoshi Yoshitake and Gary Brooks score goals in a four-minute first half stretch to defeat the Carolina RailHawks Saturday in USSF Division 2 Pro League play at Baltimore Plotech Institute.

Yoshitake scored in the 21st minute with Brooks' goal coming four minutes later.

The RailHawks could only muster a Matt Watson shot in the 76th minute to avoid a shutout.

Baltimore is 6-10-6 with 24 points and is in fourth place in the NASL Conference standings. They will next host the Montreal Impact Saturday.

Carolina is in second place in the conference at 7-6-7 with 28 points and will travel to the Austin Aztex next Sunday.
