Marta Scores Twice As Pride Batter The Beat

Marta scored goals in the 66th and 70th minute and four other players added goals as the 2010 Women's Professional Soccer regular season champion FC Gold Pride decimated the expansion Atlanta Beat 6-1 Saturday at KSU Soccer Stadium in Kennesaw, GA.

Tiffeny Milbrett opened the scoring for the Pride off a Shannon Boxx assist in the 43rd minute and Camile Abily (51'), Kelley O'Hara (72') and Christine Sinclair (88') added goals for the victores.

Eniola Aluko scored the lone Beat goal in the 65th minute.

The Pride are 14-3-4 with 46 points and will face the defending league champion Sky Blue FC Wednesday at Yurcak Field in Piscataway, NJ.

Atlanta remains the worst team in the league this season at 5-11-5 with 20 points. They will host the Boston Breakers Wednesday.
