Ali Gerba had the first hat trick in the history of the Montreal Impact franchise and they defeated Crystal Palace Baltimore for the first time this season on the road 5-0 in USSF Division 2 Pro League play Saturday at Paul Angelo Russo Stadium.
It was also the first time Montreal has scored five goals in any road game.
Eduardo Sebrango and Antonio Ribeiro each added a goal and an assist for the Impact, now 7-10-7 with 28 points and in third place in the NASL Conference.
Montreal will host the D-2 and USL Conference-leading Rochester Rhinos this Friday at Saputo Stadium.
Baltimore is 6-12-6 with 24 points, is in fourth place in the NASL Conference, and will travel to the Portland Timbers next Sunday.
