Galaxy Trades Gordon To Chivas USA For Allocation Money

Major League Soccer's best team and the best in the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Galaxy, traded forward Alan Gordon to their league roommate at The Home Depot Center, Chivas USA, for allocation money.

Gordon was drafted 53rd overall by the Galaxy in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft out of Oregon State University, but was loaned to the Portland Timbers of the USL First Division for his debut season.

In 2005, he joined Los Angeles and won an MLS Cup title.

He played in 99 career games for the Galaxy with 16 goals and 12 assists, with his best season coming in 2008, when he had five goals and seven assists in 26 games.
