The Washington Freedom of Women's Professional Soccer announced Tuesday head coach Jim Gabarra will remain in his position for the rest of the season and they have added former Chicago Red Stars head coach Emma Hayes to the franchise's staff as a consultant.
The Freedom recently snapped a 10-game losing streak last Wednesday with a 2-0 win at the Maryland Soccerplex over the expansion Philadelphia Independence.
Washington also accepted the resignation of assistant coach after 10 seasons with the team, both in the USL W-League and WPS.
