Washington Freedom forward Abby Wambach, who converted a penalty kick in the 79th minute and scored five minutes later off an Allie Long assist in a 2-1 come-from-behind win Saturday over defending league champion Sky Blue FC at the Maryland SoccerPlex, was named Tuesday the Women's Professional Soccer Player of the Week for Week 20 of the 2010 season.
Wambach has scored 12 goals this season and the POW award is her second this season. She won it previously for Week 2.
