Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire announced the release Friday of forward Stefan Dimitrov.
The native of Bulgaria who played college soccer at Concordia College played in 12 games for the franchise, debuting June 13, 2009 against DC United.
His first appearance of five this season came May 1 against Chivas USA.
