Major League Soccer's FC Dallas announced the acquisition of Brazilian defender Jackson Goncalves on loan from Sao Paulo FC in Brazil for the remainder of the 2010 season.
Goncalves, who last played all 90 minutes as a trialist with Dallas in an exhibition game June 9 against the West Texas United Sockers of the USL Premier Development League, began his career in the youth system of San Paulo FCin 2003 and debuted October 13, 2007 against Fluminense in Rio De Janiero.
He has been loaned to several teams in Brazil since joining Sao Paulo, including Uberaba Sport Club (2008), Mogi Minn (2009), Sao Caetano (2009) and, most recently, Botafogo-SP (2010).
Goncalves will make his FC Dallas debut Saturday at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC against the league's worst team -- DC United.
