Dynamo Goalkeeper Onstad Heads To Germany For Surgery

Major League Soccer's oldest active player, 42-year-old Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Pat Onstad, will head to Germany Wednesday to have surgery to repair bilateral abdominal strains, the team announced Tuesday.

He has already missed three SuperLiga tournament games and two MLS regular season matches since developing the injury, but could return to the Dynamo between 10 and 20 days, depending on recovery time.

Onstad is the league's career leader in goals against average at 1.05.
