Dueling Headers Cause MLS Champs, Wizards To Play To Draw

A pair of headed goals in the first half led to the host Kansas City Wizards to play to a 1-1 draw to the defending Major League Soccer champion Real Salt Lake Saturday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

Kei Kamara scored his career-best seventh goal of the season off a Ryan Smith play in the 21st minute, but was countered in the 33rd minute when Robbie Russell's pass allowed Robbie Findley to use his head to score his fifth goal of the season.

RSL is 10-4-5 with 35 points and in second place in the Western Conference standings. They will host the Eastern Conference-leading Columbus Crew this coming Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT.

Kansas City, at 5-8-5 with 20 points, is tied for fourth place in the Eastern table with the Chicago Fire (5-5-5). The Wizards take on the San Jose Earthquakes at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, CA this Saturday.
