The expansion Dayton Dutch Lions of the USL Premier Development League and head coach and director of coaching Sonny Silooy agreed to a mutual parting of the ways Friday, according to the Dayton Daily News.
In a statement, team co-owner Mike Mossel said the release was chosen "due to a differences in soccer philosophy about the Dutch Lions program:".
The Dutch Lions finished their first USL PDL season with an 8-3-5 record with 29 points and in a tie for third place in the Central Conference - Great Lakes Division, just missing out on a trip to the league playoffs.
Dayton moves next season into the USL Second Division as an expansion team and the franchise will also field a USL W-League team in 2011.
