FC Gold Pride, the current leader in the Women's Professional Soccer standings, announced Tuesday they have reached an agreement to welcome forward/defender Nikki Cross back to the team.
Cross originally signed with the Pride as a free agent in October 2009 but was released prior to the 2010 season.
She split the first four months of this season between the St. Louis Athletica and the Boston Breakers. After four games with the Athletica, the team folded and she was signed June 11 by the Breakers, who cut her June 24, then re-signed her July 30 before releasing her a second time.
Cross will make her first appearance with the Pride Saturday against the Washington Freedom at Pioneer Stadium in Hayward, CA.
