City Islanders, Riverhounds Draw At Chartiers Valley High School

The Harrisburg City Islanders and the host Pittsburgh Riverhounds played to a 1-1 draw Wednesday in the lone USL Second Division game on the schedule at Chartiers Valley High School.

Pittsburgh took the opening lead in the 39th minute as Alex Weekes assisted Jeremy Deighton on a goal, but Vince Petrasso fired off a pass to Kai Kasiguran for the equalizing goal in the 87th minute.

The Riverhounds hold the third and final playoff spot in the USL-2 tournament at 6-5-7 with 25 points. They will host the league-leading Charleston Battery Saturday.

Harrisburg is effectively out of a playoff berth at 4-8-6 with 16 points. The City Islanders host the defending league champion Richmond Kickers Saturday at Skyline Sports Complex on City Ialand.
