Chicago Fire President Greeley Stepping Down August 31

Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire announced Wednesday team president Dave Greeley, who came to the franchise exactly two years to the month, following six seasons working with the National Football League's Chicago Bears, will resign from his post August 31, but will remain as a team advisor through the remainder of the MLS season.

Javier Leon, managing director of Andell Sports Group, owned by Fire franchise owner Andrew Hauptman, will serve in Greeley's capacity until a new team president is hired.
