Conor Casey assisted on Jamie Smith's goal two minutes into the game and on Omar Cummings' sixth goal of the season in the 16th minute before scoring his eighth goal of 2010 in the 23rd minute as the host Colorado Rapids shut out the Houston Dynamo 3-0 Saturday in Major League Soccer play at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.
The Rapids move to 8-6-7 with 31 points and are in fifth place in the Western Conference standings and will host Chivas USA next Saturday.
The Dynamo are now 6-11-6 with 23 points, in seventh place in the same standings, and will host the San Jose Earthquakes next Sunday.
