Veronica Boquete earned Most Valuable Player honors after scoring two goals as the Buffalo Flash became the 2010 champion of the USL W-League in a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday at Harry Welch Stadium in Santa Clarita, CA.
It is the franchise's first league title in three years of existence.
Amy Vermeulen scored the Whitecaps' lone goal unassisted in the 57th minute.
Kelly Parker assisted on Buffalo's first two goals -- from Gemma Davison in the 61st minute and Boquete's second in the 88th.
Mele French assisted on Boquete's first goal for the Flash in the 64th minute.
