Jorge Herrera scored on a penalty kick goal in the 46th minute and launched an unassisted shot into the back of the net in the 54th minute as the Charlotte Eagles played the USL Second Division-leading Charleston Battery to a 2-2 draw Saturday at Charlotte Christian Stadium.
The Battery got on the board in the 73rd minute as Brandon Massie assisted Lamar Neagle on a goal, then earned an own goal off an Eagles player.
Charleston is now 10-3-5 with 35 points and travels to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds next Saturday.
Charlotte, at 5-7-6 with 21 points and in fourth place, will play at the Real Maryland Monarchs next Saturday.
