Alexander's First Goal, Assist Leads Dallas Over DC United

Eric Alexander had his first unassisted goal and assist of his Major League Soccer career to lead FC Dallas to a 3-1 victory over the worst team in the league, DC United, Saturday at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.

Alexander assisted David Ferreira on a goal and Jeff Cunnigham added another for Dallas.

United's lone goal came when Dallas' Jair Benitez mistakenly scored into his own net.

Dallas is now on a 10-game unbeaten streak and are in third place in the Western Conference at 8-2-9 with 33 points. They will host Chivas USA this Saturday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX.

United, at 3-12-3 with 12 points, last in the Eastern Conference, will host the expansion Philadelphia Union next Sunday.
