Wizards Make Scoreless Streak, Losing Streak And Road Drought Disappear Over Crew

Teal Bunbury's first career Major League Soccer goal in the 14th minute served several purposes, the most important being a 1-0 upset win over the current Eastern Conference-leading Columbus Crew Wednesday at Crew Stadium.

The goal snapped a 339-minute scoreless streak, ended a three-game losing streak, and was both the first win in seven meetings between them and the first Wizards road win this season.

The Crew, despite the loss, lead the conference at 8-3-4 with 28 points and sets up a showdown Saturday in Columbus against the second-place New York Red Bulls (8-5-2, 26).

Kansas City is 4-8-3 with 15 points and is in fifth place in the division. The Wizards next travel to the Colorado Rapids Saturday.
