DC United forward Adam Cristman underwent successful sports hernia surgery Monday in Munich, Germany and will miss two to three weeks of the current Major League Soccer season while in reovery.
Cristman has two goals and an assist this season in 14 games, seven of them starts, after joining United from the Kansas City Wizards, who traded him February 3, 2010 in exchange for an international roster spot.
He began his MLS career with the New England Revolution in 2007, where he had four goals and four assists and was a finalist for Gatorade Rookie of the Year honors.
In 2008, he went to the Wizards and scored six goals that season, then, in 2009, he was limited to appearing in five games after suffering a metatarsal injury.
