Fuad Ibrahim's first goal of the season in the 61st minute was the only goal Toronto FC needed in a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids in an afternoon Major League Soccer game Saturday at BMO Field, extending their current home game winning streak to eight games.
Toronto, now 6-4-4 with 22 points, is third in the Eastern Conference standings and are in striking distance of the second place New York Red Bulls (8-5-1, 25) and the division-leading Columbus Crew (8-2-3, 27). Toronto travels to PPL Park in Chester, PA next Saturday to face the Philadelphia Union.
Colorado snapped a six-game winning streak and now are 6-4-4 with 30 points, putting them third in the Western Conference standings. They will host the Kansas City Wizards the same day at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.
