Paul Ogenyemi (44th minute) and Richard Abrego (81st minute) scored come-from-behind goals as the Portland Timbers U23s won their 10th straight game in USL Premier Development League play Wednesday, defeating the host Tacoma Tide 2-1 at Curtis High School.
Tacoma stunned their opponents when Daniel Gray put the Tide up 1-0 in the 35th minute.
The Timbers (10-0-0, 30 points) have the best record in the PDL and lead the Western Conference - Northwest Division. They will host the Abbotsford Mariners July 9.
Tacoma shares third place in the division with the Victoria Highlanders at 7-3-2 with 23 points. Both are three points behind the Kitsap Pumas (8-1-1, 25 points) for second and are eight behind the Timbers for first place. The Tide hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency July 9.
