George Josten scored his first goal of the season for the Portland Timbers of the USSF Division 2 Pro League in the 77th minute and was one of four players who made goals in a 4-2 penalty kick shootout Sunday after playing Club Deportivo Atlas of Mexico's Primera Division to a 1-1 draw in an exhibition game at PGE Park.
Luis Robles scored Atlas' tying goal in the 90th minute of regulation play.
Alex Nimo, Rodrigo Lopez and Stephen Keel also scored for Portland in the shootout.
The Timbers' next exhibition game will be Saturday at the University of Portland's Merlo Field against Manchester City of the English Premier League.
Portland returns to USSF-2 play July 22 against the Vancouver Whitecaps at Swangard Stadium.
