Christine Sinclair was assisted on goals by a still-active Solveg Gulbrandson and Camile Abily in the 45th and 60th minute, respectively, as the best team in Women's Professional Soccer, the FC Gold Pride, shut out the second-best team, the Philadelphia Independence, 2-0 Saturday at Pioneer Stadium in Hayward, CA.
The Pride are 10-3-1 with 31 points and will hit the road for their next two games -- at the Boston Breakers Wednesday and the Washington Freedom this Saturday.
Philadelphia, at 6-5-3 with 21 points, hosts the defending league champion Sky Blue FC at John A. Farrell Stadium at the University of West Chester this Saturday.
