The FC Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USSF Division 2 Pro League received midfielders Ricardo Sanchez and Jonathan Steele Tuesday from the league's Vancouver Whitecaps in a trade for future considerations.
Sanchez signed with the Whitecaps in November 2009 after stints with two now-defunct USL First Division teams, the Minnesota Thunder and the California Victory.
He has scored one goal in 13 USSF-D2 games this season and also played in three games during the Nutrilite Canadian Championship between them, the Montreal Impact of USSF D-2, and Toronto FC of Major League Soccer.
Before joining USL-1, Sanchez played in his native country of Mexico for seven teams over six years.
Steele joined Vancouver in December 2008 after two seasons in USL-1 with the Puerto Rico Islanders, now part of USSF D-2. He has played in 12 league games and also played in three NCC games.
