Red Bulls, Rapids Trade Goals In Draw

The New York Red Bulls snapped a three-game winning streak and the Colorado Rapids extended their unbeaten streak to six games as both teams played to 1-1 draw Sunday in Major League Soccer action from Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.

Omar Cummings scored Colorado's goal in the 15th minute off a Conor Casey assist but Sinisa Ubiparopovic fired off a shot to Juan Pablo Angel for a goal in the 34th minute.

The Red Bulls, at 8-5-1 with 25 points, is second in the Eastern Conference and are a win behind the Columbus Crew (8-2-3, 27) to take over the conference lead. New York hosts DC United Saturday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

The Rapids, at 6-3-4 with 22 points, are two wins behind defending league champion Real Salt Lake (8-3-3, 27) for second place in the Western Conference. Colorado heads to BMO Field Saturday to face Toronto FC.
