Reading United Claims Fourth Straight USL PDL Mid-Atlantic Division Title

Tyler Witmer scored goals in the first and 24th minute and Adam Welsh, a 2010 draft pick of Major League Soccer's New England Revolution, headed in a goal in the 27th minute to lead host Reading United AC to a 4-2 victory over the New Jersey Rangers in their 2010 USL Premier Development League home season finale Friday at Exeter High School to win their fourth straight Eastern Conference - Mid-Atlantic Division title.

United won the previous three under their former name, the Reading Rage.

Samson Malinjani had Reading's one true goal in the 57th minute.

Both teams gave their opponents own goals -- New Jersey's Luis Andre scored for Reading in the 33rd; Reading's Jack Reid did so for New Jersey in the 90th minute.

Reading, 10-1-4 with 34 points, closes their season on the road Sunday at the Central Jersey Spartans.

New Jersey's season ends with an eighth place division finish at 5-11-0 with 15 points.
