Ocampo Goals Rally Last Place Beat From Two Down To Defeat Freedom

The expansion Atlanta Beat used two unassisted goals from Monica Ocampo to rally from being down one goal to overtake the host Washington Freedom 3-2 in Women's Professional Soccer play Wednesday from Kennesaw State University Stadium in Kennesaw, GA.

Atlanta got the opening lead when Johanna Rasmussen scored unassisted in the 20th minute, but Homore Sawa would assist on Nikki Marshall's game-tying goal in the 41st minute, then watched as Sarah Huffman posted a goal in the 64th minute for the 2-1 deificit for the Beat.

Ocampo scored in the 67th and 88th minute to win the game for the Beat, their third straight.

The Beat, in last place in the league standings, are 4-7-4 with 16 points and travel to the Boston Breakers next Saturday.

The Freedom are 4-7-5 with 17 points, are tied with the Chicago Red Stars (4-8-5) for fifth place in the standings, and are at Boston this Saturday.
