Neagle, Heinemann Team Up As Battery Beats City Islanders

Lamar Neagle and Ton Heinemann each had a goal and an assist Saturday as the USL Second Division-leading Charleston Battery edged the Harrisburg City Islanders 3-2 at the Skyline Sports Complex on City Island.

Rudolph Mayard also added a goal for the Battery, now leading the league at 10-3-3 with 33 points. Charleston is at the Real Maryland Monarchs Sunday.

Jerrit Thayer had both of Harrisburg's goals, thanks to assists by, respectively, Tyler Ruthven and Jason Pelletier. The City Islanders are in fifth in the league standings at 4-7-5 with 12 points and heads to the defendinc league champion Richmond Kickers next Saturday.
