The host Charlotte Eagles played to a 1-1 draw Saturday with the Real Maryland Monarchs in USL Second Division play at Charlotte Christian Stadium.
The Eagles took the lead in the fourth minute as Leo Gibson assisted Jorge Herrera, but Joel Senior's unassisted goal in the 26th minute for the Monarchs knotted the score for good.
Charlotte is in third place in the league standings at 5-6-5 with 30 points with a few weeks left in the regular season. They will host the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Friday.
Real Maryland is in last place at 3-7-6 with 15 points and will host the league-leading Charleston Battery next Sunday at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
