MLS Announces First XI For 2010 All-Star Game

Major League Soccer Tuesday announced the first eleven players for the 2010 All-Star Game July 28 at Reliant Stadium in Houston against Manchester United of the English Premier League.

The players were selected through evenly-weighted voting between fans, media, players and head coaches and general managers.

Of the First XI, four players come from the current league-leading Los Angeles Galaxy with three from the defending league champion Real Salt Lake, two from the current Eastern Conference-leading Columbus Crew, and one each from Toronto FC and the Chicago Fire.

Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena will serve as the team's head coach.

Monday, Arena (ten picks) and MLS commissioner Don Garber (two) will finalize the 23-man roster for the game by announcing their selections.

Chad Marshall - Columbus Crew
Jamison Olave - Real Salt Lake

MIDFIELDERS
Guillermo Barros Schelotto - Columbus Crew
Kyle Beckerman - Real Salt Lake
Dwayne De Rosario - Toronto FC
Javier Morales - Real Salt Lake
Marco Pappa - Chicago Fire

FORWARDS
Edson Buddle - Los Angeles Galaxy
Landon Donovan - Los Angeles Galaxy
