Adam Johnson assisted on back-to-back goals from Stephen Ireland (43') and Emmanuel Adebayor (44') and Jo scored an unassisted goal in the 68th minute as Manchester City of the English Premier League shut out the Portland Timbers of the USSF Division 2 Pro League 3-0 Saturday in an exhibition game at the University of Portland's Merlo Field.
The Timbers return to league play Thursday at the Vancouver Whitecaps to start a four-game road trip.
